Inaugural Red, White, Blue & You in the Park Day

Our Inaugural Red, White, Blue & You in the Park Day at the Donald Ray Stevens Community Center was an incredible success!

This event was about more than just having fun. It was an opportunity for children to enjoy a day at the pool while learning the importance of water safety, staying hydrated, and building positive relationships with our law enforcement deputies in a welcoming, non-threatening environment.

Thanks to the generous support of United Way of Southwest Louisiana, Acadian Ambulance, River Rat Rentals, and an anonymous monetary donor, we were able to provide children with goggles, swimsuits, towels, paddle floaters, kickboards, and other essential items to help them safely enjoy the water.



A very special thank you to Karen McReynalds, Lake Charles Parks and Recreation, and all of the incredible volunteers who dedicated their time and energy to making this event a success. Without your hard work, support, and commitment to our community, none of this would have been possible. We can never go wrong when WE invest in our kids and community.
