Yesterday, Marshal Nathan Keller, along with Judges Jamie Bice and Ron Richard, hosted members of our local clergy, the Calcasieu District Attorney’s Office, Calcasieu Parish Office of Juvenile Justice Services, Lake Charles City Council, Calcasieu Parish Police Jury, Ward 4 Marshal’s Office, Lake Charles City Prosecutor’s Office, and several local attorneys.

During this meeting, leaders were provided with detailed information about the upcoming Fresh Start Amnesty Program so they can help share this important opportunity within the community.

The Fresh Start Amnesty Program has the potential to assist thousands of individuals who have one or more outstanding traffic tickets or misdemeanor criminal charges. This program offers a valuable opportunity for eligible participants to resolve outstanding matters and move forward.

There will be another public meeting Thursday, February 19th at Lake Charles City Court at 5:30pm.  Anyone wanting more information is welcome to attend.
